For me, being a celebrant is not just about leading a ceremony — it’s about people’s stories, emotions, and connections, and helping families and couples feel supported throughout the process.
Before becoming a celebrant, I spent many years working in a caring environment as Head of Wellbeing in a retirement complex. In this role I supported residents and their families through significant life moments, celebrations, and farewells.
This experience gave me a deep understanding of compassion, empathy, and the importance of honouring every person’s story. It taught me how powerful it can be when people feel truly seen, heard, and respected — something I bring to every ceremony I create.

Along with my work in the wellbeing sector, I bring over 30 years’ experience in the entertainment industry, a career that has not only shaped my confidence, but also my ability to engage, lift and genuinely connect with people from all walks of life.
Years of performing and working closely with audiences has given me a natural warmth and presence, allowing me to put others at ease and create an atmosphere that is both comfortable and meaningful. At the heart of this is my deep appreciation for storytelling, transforming words into something that feels alive and authentic.
I take these skills into every ceremony I deliver, each one carefully crafted with the highest attention to detail, and presented with sincerity and care to ensure it is truly felt by everyone present.
I am a professionally trained celebrant, having gained my qualification through the Academy of Modern Celebrancy—one of the UK’s leading and most respected celebrant training organisations.
This training has provided me with a strong foundation in the art and professionalism of celebrancy. I have gained the knowledge, skills and confidence to design and deliver meaningful, high quality ceremonies that truly reflect the people at their heart.
Every ceremony I create is entirely bespoke. I take the time to get to know each individual, couple, or family I work with, ensuring that every detail is thoughtfully crafted to tell your unique story. Whether you are celebrating a wedding, marking a life milestone, or saying goodbye to a loved one, my aim is to create a ceremony that feels personal, authentic, and memorable.
The Grand Order of Lady Ratlings, established in the year of 1929, is a vibrant social association specifically created for Arts Professionals. Our mission is to foster a dynamic community where artists from various fields can network, collaborate, and discover genuine companionship. In addition to our core objectives, we are proud to support our charitable initiative, ‘The GOLR Cup of Kindness’ , dedicated to providing assistance to those in need within our community and beyond.
